It ain’t no lie…fever bye bye bye…
for most obvious reasons, u get vaccinated so that it will prevent ur body from falling prey if the actual thing comes…
then y oh y did i get a defensive reaction to my tetanus vaccination yesterday TODAY…with fever, muscle aches and diarrhhoea?
n becos for this, i missed out the b-day party…n i feel so bad about it…darn the tetanus…
i only regain consciousness at 5pm…as least fever is gone…Praise the Lord
Day 3 of Macau…It’s no longer a family outing…
Day 3 started out adventurous…with the whole team ready to search for this place called “Three lamps”…or in Chinese 三盏灯…becos according to some nice soul, it was a great place to shop…
then again…three lamps was not a street…it is just ONE stand with 3 LAMPS…surprise surprise…to think we took 2 hours trying to find tat place…u can see it in the pic above…but surrounding it were great shopping areas…selling things ranging frm collectibles (alot of Disney and Hello Kitty ones) to clothings (almost all of which my mom visited)…n we saw some interesting things….
one…they have sthg tat is grilled meat (any form of meat) clipped between a bun (u may think it is very common…but fyi, not found in S’pore man… XD) …PLUS…chee cheong fun with a you tiao inside (no pic of this, sorry), and they add in peanut butter (woah) instead of sesame seeds n it still taste great…this for a low low price of SGD0.20…PLUS…i got an authenic sweet container tat was used in a movie…however, to be accurate, it was used in olden Japan to store sweets…a real find !!!
naturally with all the walkin…who could forgot the call of nature…now there were shops…but no toilets (unless u wanted to walked back down 2 streets to Mac)…so it seemed rather unbearable…then we passed by a church…when i pointed it out to my mom…she jumped in, saying there was a toilet…on asking if it was appropriate…she said it’s the Lord’s hse…i’ll live ur response to this urself…but in my case…Praise the Lord…wat a relief
…
anw…that nite, we decided to take a stroll around Macau, and to eventually visit the newest hotel and casino set up by a rich Las Vegas guy…a place called Wynn…but b4 we got there, my cousin took a lot of photos with the Christmas trees in each diff hotel…so officially, it wasn’t a family trip, it was “R–’s special Christmas photoshoot album”, with me the extra, my mom the photographer and my aunt the backpack carrier……….oh well…u can ask my cousin for the photos, some were really nice…
so when we got to Wynn…we were mesmorised by the huge dancing fountain (tat swayed with gracious tunes), the revolving door (i nearly got trapped inside) and the grand toilet (see pic above and see if u can guess which is the tap)…i kinda embarassed myself by putting my hand under the soap tab, thinking water was gonna come out…and…believe it or not, the hotel has its own little branded street with Dior, Chanel, LV etc. etc. all lined up neatly in two rows…talking abt where to spend ur winning cash…
so while maintaining our intergrity and our pureness for God, we left the hotels, not once stepped into the casinos…n went down to Fisherman’s Wharf (a monument area with volcanoes, Arab street and Greek statures)…we’ve been there b4, taken pics and all…but it was there my cousin faced his mortal enemy…a springy blue thing with no head…kinda freaked him out, i got a little scared but with all due respect, there was someone in tat costume…
just to end off, back at Wynn, we saw a young Chinese man with a blonde girl “in his arms” (say this in a french accent)…so my mom figured tat he is the kind of smart aleck tat gets sent overseas to study but doesn’t, and brings a white skin GF back to anger his casino-owing father…however, since most blondes are said to be not so bright…i don’t quite see how this is a smart plan of a smart aleck… -_-???
anw…on to Day 4
The belated Day 2 of Macau
I’m so sorry for this late late late entry…Christmas…New Year…New sch…AHHH!!!…i’m so confused….so apologies for neglect of this blog…
but i’m back…with only sub sub knowledge of wat happen on my trip to Macau…here is the continual of Day 2…
Day 2 was when we packed up our stuff in Zhuhai and headed for Macau…of course, this meant we were dragging our luggages around AGAIN before we could settle back in our hotel…it was tiring having to drag the luggage around…together with the stuff we bought from the day b4….
anw…we reached Macau and checked into the same hotel…on the same floor…most prob the same room (not sure abt this though)…tentatively there was only one floor without smoking…and believe it or not…Casa Real…the hotel we stayed in…is very popular among Singaporeans…we can’t help noticing how much Singlish was going around…hmm…i guess tat’s a bad sign…
i got a bit grouchy on tis day cos my cousin was getting away with ethg…anw…i lightened soon enough when i needed to buy sthg XD… darn…makes me feel like PT…in any case…we started buying souveirs for our S’pore frens (tat is u guys) from then on…i managed to pick up a new pair of pants (so did my cousin…as long as i get one, so will he
)…So we ended up with a total of 2 pants (to be picked up 2 days later due to alteration)…2 shirts…lots of biscuits…and 25 pairs of socks…Yes…25 PAIRS of SOCKS…from Blue Star…so colorful XD…
We later spent the night shopping at a shopping centre called New Yaohan, which is near our hotel…we picked up sushi (only the fish ones tasted nice) and a brand of lemon tea tat leaves a cooling sensation (i think it was “Nestle Ice Rush”) at the back of ur throat…my mom loved it so much tat we went down the next day to pick up some more…oh well…
back at the hotel..when everyone was getting ready for bed…i encouraged my cousin to do a bit of dancing since we were watching the local MTV channel…i asked him to do so….partly for my own enjoyment (evil, u say?)…and partly to encourage him to loosen up since he gets rather tensed…i taped him down doing S.H.E’s Persian Cat song…sad to say the backgrd had noises of my mom and my aunt arguing over where the tootbrushes are…but i’ll say my cousin enjoyed himself….
Hence…on to Day 3
