There and back…Macau Day 1
i’m officially back frm Macau…just for the record…i only learnt two Portugese words…Obrigato (means thk u) and Lavabos (means toilet)…though i have absolutely no idea how to pronounce these words…
in any case…i am still VERY disappointed tat i missed Church camp frm 11-13….darn darn darn…
so….Day 1…the plane landed in macau at 12.40pm…n as locals as we were….we rushed to the border between macau and zhuhai…the ting abt macau buses…i love the drivers…their driving skills are so gd…n for anyone who has been to macau…u’ll be sure to noe of how confusing the roads are…becos they tend to curve around ethg and many a bridge flying above other roads…it’s like a gentle roller coaster going up and down…
so we crossed the border to zhuhai…or rather, walked over having to go thru the different immigrations…china seems a bit more strict have to fill in forms for health, arrival and departure…so anw…we entered zhuhai and we went shopping immediately…rampaging thru the hundreds of shops for stuff (sorry tat i exaggerated here a little)…while dragging our luggages with us… -_-!!! we later checked into the hotel…which was next to the previous hotel we were in on our previous macau trip…and went out to shop some more…all the way till nightfall…
here’s a tip…when in zhuhai…try their sweet soya bean drink (they have salty too)…if u r drinking the warm one…they will usually serve u in a bowl (see pic above)…n instead of using sugar syrup…they add sugar directly and pour the liquid over it…so be sure to stir before u drink…my cousin got it confused with soup and wanted to pour over his fried rice…urgh!!!!….
plus…while shopping…the chinese salesgirl said to my aunt tat S’poreans love to come to China…and my aunt replied rather surprisingly…”so do u chinese girls, love to marry S’pore man” XD …i can feel my tickle bones goin ‘tat’s a gd one’…
so overall, day 1 was so so …but when day 2, 3 and 4 comes…the fun just gets better…tune in…
Oh HO…my back?!!!
i still thnk God for the enlightening, vigorous yet gd for ur health game of badminton yesterday…some ppl said i was gd…but i figured i was all action with very little on skill…like some ppl i noe (ssshhh!)…
but anywho…it was a great game…all of PT’s shots were called ’ssh’ shots…cause everytym she misses…she goes ’ssh!’…since ‘damn’ wasn’t a nice word to use…JT and I were more of two locals with a lousy French accent tryin to kill each other on the field…while on the other end, my press and JS were tryin to kill each other…through their own manly ways to which we will not mention here….those kids…
but today proved to be a challenge too…the getting out of bed challenge…my whole body was aching…ah me…i felt as if i was an old man who needing a walking stick….a walking stick to support on and to whack obstacles out of my way so that i can walk…nutz man…
and surprisingly…i had the sudden urge to do some cooking…so now my fridge is stuffed with cooked food…all u need next is the microwave….though i can’t see how long the food will last and how much i spent on it…it was simple jap curry and breadin fillings…tat’s all…
anw…the trip to Vivo to see Page One with PT was not too bad…firstly cos i like page one…and secondly i managed to read a bit of Edgar Allan Poe’s The Telltale Heart and The Raven (i won’t have bought the book if it didn’t look so scary on the cover…i think EAP likes to do horror stories or sthg)…a real eye-opener…
and we got a gooy tube candy gel for JT and Gen…it tastes more like goo than jelly…but sweet…and JT loves it…though it cost 3 bucks a tube…
in any case…it was a blessed day… God bless….ouch…my arms are still aching….
Be Saved…
athg done w/o the Lord is done aimlessly…with no meaning watsoever…
thnk u my dear girl…for pting out tat fatal error tat could have pulled the whole production off its course…thnk u advisor for ur wisdom
…
i nearly lost myself in a sea of thought…it’s not anyone’s fault…just felt tat if no one comment, the production would have been useless…
God…use the production for ur glory….let ur voice be heard…teach us and show us ur will…
