Movies n me…

obviously…frm the title…u noe wat i’ll be talkin abt…movies…erm…not tat i’m a movie goer or anthg…but…

i went with my fren to watch the show “Click” today…summary of the film is tat using a universal remote to fast forward or skip parts of ur life…in the film, the actor suffered frm the remote when it lost control n skipped all of his life….lapping over 10 yrs n 6 yrs or more…eventually he dying…but like all movies who aim for happy endings (if not, the viewers will curse n complain)…he got a 2nd chance…to re-live his life…without the remote…

a few query areas (yes, i always hv not so good critics for films…i’m sorry)…since when do u get 2nd chances in ur life?…though i understand the fact tat the 2nd chance was to hint to the audience of the value of family n love…but in reality, there is no such ting as reliving ur life…n the guy who gave him the remote was a death angel???!…since when does a death angel follow u ur whole life n then give u a 2nd chance…anw..tat’s just me…

life may be monotonous..but there r always surprises…just like one of my previous entries where i talked abt looking for sthg new in ur everyday life…n treasure it (yucks…sound so cliche…oh well…so i’m old fashioned…)

anw…a more main topic i wanna talk abt is my fav 3 actors…n they have been my fav since i was 10…sadly, all male…but nonetheless…my favs…in order…

1. Robin Williams…most of his earlier movies were great (though i cannot remember them all)…but i always like him as the voice of the Genie in Disney’s Aladdin (aha…so u didn’t noe huh?!…)…he can really make the show so funny…no one is better than him at tat…i even watched his stand-up comedy…though it was crude…i loved his antics…sadly, his acting roles r getting bad…no one seems to be valuing him no more…

2. Jim Carrey..also another guy losing his stand in the Oscar world…though he’s funny…he’s more of action-funny than word-funny…though he acts in really weird shows n not tat i watch all of them…i still like he for his antics…yeah…

3. Tom Hanks…one who still has some footing in the acting world today…the most memorable being Forrest Gump n a more recent The Terminal…he can express himself very well…n his acting is just superb…

pt to note: i’m listing them not becos i idol them…but i just guess it was sthg tat i wanted to get off my chest…reality sinks in cos these really good actors r losing their position in the world today…not tat position is or was impt…but many of the younger actors cannot even hold a candle (orange, apple, lamp, stick…watever) to them…a lot in Taiwan btw (sorry to all taiwan actor fans…just a passing remark)…n in S’pore as well…though some higher authorities r good at acting n hv been acting all their life (exclude the time when they’re babies…they couldn’t tink as sophisticatedly as their adult forms)…
